Henry Cavill's Superman: First (Unofficial) Close Look

It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's our first unofficial close look of Henry Cavill's Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel!

We have earlier sworn off the heartless spoiler antics of covering the leaked video clips and images from much-anticipated films such as Marvel Studios's The Avengers and DC and Warner Bros.'s Man of Steel and The Dark Knight Rises, out of respect for the director and production crews of the respective film, following our coverage on Tom Hardy's Bane and the big City Hall fight. As much as we continue to refrained from such spoilery coverages, we can't help but to post these extremely spoilery images for a reason.

With the earlier leaked photos of Henry Cavill in full Superman outfit making the rounds online, many fans were horrified/outraged at the purported omission of Superman's infamous red underwear.

Today, a new batches of leaked set photos giving us a clearer shot of the outfit confirmed the bold change of costume (much like the bold "DC Comics - The New 52" initiative for the comic books). The material of new outfit seemed to closer to some kind of a scale (in a way, quite similar to Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man), and there are some kind of a semi-wrist band, silver surrounding his leg leading to the weird belt buckle-looking ornament atop Superman's seemingly accentuated Kryptonite "jewels".

We have earlier seen the first official image of Henry Cavill's Superman. Now hit the jump to feast upon the action-packed, ultra-ripped brand new, red underwear-less Man of Steel.

The Dark Knight Rises Completes Pittsburgh Filming with a Big Thank You

Christopher Nolan and crew wrapped up filming of The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh with a big "Thank You" note.

No, filming of The Dark Knight Rises, the final epic chapter of director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is still far from completely wrapped up with Los Angeles and New York next in line. Nevertheless, having completed the work in Pittsburgh last weekend, Nolan and the producers took the time to send their express their gratitude to the city for their collaboration with the production with this big newspaper ad.

Thoughtful, for the city which provided us more than a handful of spoiler images and video clips.

WATCH this Insanely Funny X-Men: First Class Deleted Scene

Need further proof of the swinging depravity of James McAvoy's rendition of Professor X in the excellent X-Men: First Class? Well, here it is, and the joke is squarely on Michael Fassbender's Magneto.

Remember the scene in Matthew Vaughn's excellent X-Men: First Class where James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, in their roles of Charles Xavier (Professor X), and Erik Lensherr (Magneto), respectively, visited the stripper bar in an effort to recruit Zoƫ Kravitz's Angel Salvadore? We are certain you do remember Magneto having a brief display of his magnetic powers by levitating a champagne bucket to convince Angel to display her powers. But do you recall Xavier doing anything since the two chums did specifically indicated that they will show her their powers in return for her to show her's?

Well, turned out there was indeed an unbelievable display of Xavier's amazing psychic ability, but it was eventually deleted for obvious reasons. Thankfully, we can now witness what was left on the cutting room floor thanks to Entertainment Weekly, who have unveiled the deleted scene, which will be collected in the upcoming "X-Men: First Class" DVD and Blu-ray set to be released on September 9th.

Hit the jump to check out the gut-busting scene (Head over to Entertainment Weekly to watch a longer version).

Alex Pardee's Awesome Poster for Edgar Wright's Triple Feature

In this amazing poster conjured by artist Alex Pardee, characters from Edgar Wright's triple feature film, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World come together in one awesome jam art.

Collaborating with Midnites for Maniacs, Edgar Wright will be showcasing a triple-bill of his feature films, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, in person at San Francisco’s Castro Theatre on the 26th of August. Teaming with Wright, artist Alex Pardee was commissioned to produce a special poster for the triple-bill event.

We have earlier seen some of the cool work by Pardee, from his special poster for Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, to his concept art pieces for Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch. Here, Pardee channeled his inner fanboy for Wright's typically awesome films and came out with a poster worthy of its source.

Here's what Pardee had to say about the piece:

So…I kinda just got to work with one of my creative heroes this week…

Edgar Wright, who has directed some of my favorite films, teamed up with me and my fanboyish spirit to create this piece for his upcoming triple-bill event in San Francisco at the Castro Theatre. This image will be for sale at the event in limited edition form courtesy of Zerofriends x Edgar Wright. For more info and to BUY TICKETS TO THE EVENT (which i’m sure will go fast since Edgar himself is presenting the films and doing Q & A’s) check out EDGAR WRIGHT'S BLOG

Limited edition of the poster will be on sale during the event. The remaining posters (if any) after the event will be sold online at Pardee's webstore, Zerofriends. Anyway, fans of Wright's films who happened to be in town should attend the event. The ticket only cost a mere fifteen and Wright will be there in person to introduce each films and a Q&A session.
