NMA Bemoans the Lack of an Asian Spider-Man

Taiwan’s madcap Next Media Animation asked, "Why are there no Asian superheros?"

And when the batshit insane online animated news source put forth a question, we listen.

We have earlier seen CGI-animated journalism laced with madness from Taiwan’s Next Media Animation with their batshit insane take on the Spider-Man musical woes and the teaser trailer of Christopher Nolan's swan song to his epic Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. Now NMA take on Marvel's unveiling of the new Ultimate Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a young half-black/half-Hispanic teenager. And they bemoaned the below while depicting a Chinese Spider-Man kicking the ass of a panda bear.

Why are there no Asian superheros? Marvel has announced a Black-Latino boy will assume the identity of Spider-Man in an alternate universe comic book. But why couldn't Spider-Man be Asian, or, better yet, Taiwanese? There are few well-known Asian superheroes. The most recent was Kato in The Green Hornet, which bombed at the box office. Asians have traditionally been portrayed as villains such as Fu Manchu characters or dastardly dragon ladies. Asia's time in the superhero spotlight is long overdue. What are you waiting for, Marvel?

Guessed it's business as usual for them.
